Leilu Reed (they/he) is a fiber artist and historian whose work engages crochet as a site of research, community, and resistance. They will be receiving their bachelor’s degree in History, and their practice is informed by the study of women’s labor, craft traditions, and the social histories embedded in fiber work. Learning techniques through digital platforms and shared knowledge, Reed bridges historical research with contemporary making. Alongside their studio practice, they lead community workshops that emphasize accessibility, collective learning, and the continuation of fiber traditions through conversation and shared labor.
